Open Discord Server Settings
Click on your server name at the top of the channel list and select "Server Settings" from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Emoji Section
In the Server Settings menu, go to the "Emojis" tab to manage and upload custom emojis.

Click 'Upload Emoji'
In the Emoji section, click the "Upload Emoji" button to select and upload images from your device.

Choose Your Emoji File
Select the image you want to use as an emoji. The file should be in PNG, JPG, or GIF format and no larger than 256 KB.

Name Your Emoji
After uploading, you'll be prompted to name your emoji. Choose a short, unique name for easy access (e.g., :happycat:).

Use Animated Emojis
If you have Discord Nitro, you can upload animated emojis (GIF format) for more dynamic expressions.

Set Emoji Permissions
You can control who can use custom emojis by adjusting role permissions in the "Roles" section under Server Settings.

React with Custom Emoji
Once uploaded, use the emoji by typing its name in a message with colons (e.g., :happycat:) or clicking the emoji picker.

Manage Existing Emojis
In the Emoji tab, you can delete or edit existing emojis, as well as sort them into categories for easy access.

Discord Nitro users can use custom emojis across any server, while regular users can only use them within the server they're uploaded to.
